The South Australian Electoral Districts Boundaries Commission

The South Australian Electoral Districts Boundaries Commission was established in 1975 by an amendment to the Constitution Act of 1934. The Commission has perpetual succession and the power and functions of a Royal Commission.

It is constituted of a senior judge of the Supreme Court appointed by the Chief Justice, the Electoral Commissioner and the Surveyor-General.

The commission makes electoral redistributions - divisions of the State into House of Assembly electoral districts.
