Advice for voters who will be interstate or overseas on polling day

Electoral Commission SA continues to receive a high volume of enquiries from people who will be interstate or overseas on polling day asking how they can vote at the upcoming South Australian State Election on 17 March 2018. Alternative voting options include:

  1. Vote at a pre-poll centre in South Australia before you leave (open from 5 March to 16 March). Details will be available on our website from early February.

  2. Vote interstate or overseas. There will be pre-poll centres in capital cities around Australia and select overseas locations. Details will be available on our website from early February.

  3. Apply for a postal vote. Ballot packs can be sent to an address interstate or overseas. Application forms will be available on our website from Australia Post outlets from 5 February.  Ballot packs will be posted out from 5 March.

If these options will not allow you to vote, please call us 1300 655 232 during February 2018 to discuss your situation.
