Reporting gifts and loans

Donors have reporting obligations under Part 13A of the Electoral Act 1985.

You must lodge a return with the Electoral Commissioner if you have made a donation of more than $5,000 (indexed) to a candidate or relevant entity (that is, a registered political party, associated entity or third party). The return lodgement times vary depending on who you gave the donation to and when you gave the donation.
