You can enrol now or update your enrolment details for the 2026 South Australian State Election
The Electoral Commission of South Australia (ECSA) is urging all eligible South Australians to enrol, or update their enrolment details, ahead of the 2026 State Election, to be held on Saturday 21 March 2026.
Who needs to enrol?
You must enrol if you:
- Are an Australian citizen
- 18 years or older
- Lived at a principal place of residence for a continuous period of at least 1 month

Is enrolment compulsory?
Yes. Enrolment and voting are compulsory for all eligible Australians at state and federal elections.
How to enrol or update your details
The electoral roll will close at 5.00pm on 27 February and people should enrol or check their enrolment details, particularly if they have moved in the past six months.
