Registration of Third Parties for the 2026 State Election | Deadline: Friday, 6 March 2026
Any individual or organisation planning to spend, or who has already spent, more than $10,000 on political expenditure during the designated period for the 2026 State Election, must register as a third party with the Electoral Commission of South Australia.
To register, simply visit the ECSA website and complete the relevant forms available here:

Please be aware that registration requirements do not apply to the following:
- Members of Parliament (House of Assembly or Legislative Council)
- Government or public sector agencies
- Registered political parties, candidates, or groups
- Broadcasters or datacasters
- Publishers of journals, including online publications.
To remain compliant with electoral legislation, ensure your registration is submitted before the deadline.
