District Council of Streaky Bay - Eyre and Flinders Wards

Due to the resignations of two members of the Council, a supplementary election is necessary to fill the vacancies of Councillor for the District Council of Streaky Bay.

The voters roll for this supplementary election closes at 5pm on Friday 30 April 2021.

You can check if you are on the state electoral roll online at the Australian Electoral Commission's .
If you do not appear on the roll and are an Australian citizen aged 18 or over you should enrol immediately via the Australian Electoral Commission .

If you are not eligible to enrol on the state electoral roll you may still be entitled to enrol to vote if you own or occupy a property or are a resident non-Australian citizen.

Nominating

Becoming a member of council is a great way to represent and help make a difference to your local community.

The nomination period for the vacancy of Councillor will open on Thursday 27 May 2021 and will close at 12 noon on Thursday 10 June 2021.

If you are interested in nominating, nomination kits will be available from the Council office at 29 Alfred Terrace, Streaky Bay. 

A candidate briefing session will be held for intending candidates with a date to be confirmed closer to the event.

2017 

The periodic election for the APY Executive Board took place on 5 April 2017.

Nominations were called for supplementary elections for 3 female members of the APY Executive Board in the following electorates of Mimili, Pukatja, Yunyarinyi, Anilalya, Turkey Bore and Iwantja, Amuruna, Railway Bore, Witjintitja, Wallatinna. Single nominations were received for two electorates and no nominations were received for Pukatja, Yunyarinyi, Anilalya and Turkey Bore. No elections were required.

The periodic election for the APY Executive Board took place on 29 February 2012.

Supplementary elections were held on 1 June 2012 for two electorates, Kaltjiti/Irintata/Watinuma and Watarru. The supplementary elections occurred because no nominations were received in those electorates for the APY Executive Board election of February 2012.

Area Councillor (2 vacancies)
In August 2021 Electoral Commission SA conducted a supplementary election to fill a vacancy for Area Councillor for the City of Adelaide. The election was required following the resignation of a member of the Council.
Candidates

At the close of nominations at 12 noon on Thursday 10 June 2021, a total of 7 nominations were accepted for the supplementary election. The draw for ballot paper order was conducted at 4pm at Adelaide Town Hall. The candidates' names in the order they appeared on the ballot paper were:
