District Council of Streaky Bay - Eyre and Flinders Wards - 12 July 2021

Area Councillor (2 vacancies)
Due to the resignation of two members of the Council, a supplementary election was held to fill one vacancy in Eyre Ward and one in Flinders Ward.

Two candidates contested the election, and on Wednesday 14 July 2021 Nick REDDING was declared elected.

Eyre Ward

Greg LIMBERT was elected unopposed as the only nominated candidate for the position of Councillor for District Council of Streaky Bay (Eyre Ward). No election will be necessary.

Flinders Ward

At the close of nominations at 12 noon on Thursday 10 June 2021, a total of two (2) nominations were received and accepted for the supplementary election. In accordance with the Local Government (Elections) Act 1999, a draw was held after the close of nominations to determine the order in which names of candidates would appear on the ballot paper and the result of the draw was as follows:

  • REDDING, Nick
  • McKENZIE, Sally

Candidate briefing session

An in-person briefing session for intending candidates was held at 10am on Saturday 5 June 2021, Streaky Bay Motel, 33 Alfred Terrace, Streaky Bay.

Mail out of voting material

Voting material was mailed to electors between Tuesday 22 June 2021 and Monday 28 June 2021. To be accepted, ballot papers had to be completed and returned no later than 12 noon, Monday 12 July 2021.

A ballot box was located at the Council office, 29 Alfred Tce, Streaky Bay, for electors who wished to personally deliver their completed voting material during office hours.

Due to the passing of a member of the Council, a supplementary election was necessary to fill the vacancy of Councillor for Somerton Ward.

Coorong District Council - Poll - 26 October 2021

ECSA conducted a poll on behalf of the Coorong District Council. The Council proposed to change the principal member of the Council to an elected Mayor instead of an appointed Chairperson.

Voting closed at 12 noon, Tuesday 26 October 2021. The following are the declared final results for this poll.
