Supplementary election

Due to the resignation of a Councillor and the existing vacancy of a member of the Council, a supplementary election is necessary to fill the vacancies for two Area Councillors.

Nominating

Becoming a member of council is a great way to represent and help make a difference to your local community.

The nomination period for the vacancies of two Area Councillors will open on Thursday 22 July 2021 and will close at 12 noon on Thursday 5 August 2021.

If you are interested in nominating, nomination kits will be available from the council office at 1 Seventh St Quorn.

Candidate briefing session

Due to current Covid-19 restrictions, the candidate briefing session scheduled for 26 July at the Council Chambers in Quorn has changed to an interactive online session instead.

The online session will be held via Zoom and will take place at 6pm, Monday 26 July 2021.

How to nominate

With the lifting of Level 5 COVID-19 restrictions announced by the South Australian State Government, candidates can either submit their nomination in person to the Council Office, 1 Seventh St Quorn or via the email below. 

To lodge your nomination via email, you need to fill in the relevant nomination form, sign, scan and send it to ecsa.elections@sa.gov.au along with your candidate profile statement. If you choose to submit a photo you must write a statement on the back of the photo with the wording ‘This is a photograph of <your name> taken within the past 12 months’, and sign the back of the photo.

Please note that late nominations cannot be accepted. It is strongly recommended that your lodge your nomination early to allow time to rectify any potential problems.
