On International Day of People with Disability, Wednesday 3 December 2025, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and contributions of people with disability, and reaffirm our commitment to making democracy accessible for everyone.
Over the years, election services have evolved to ensure that every voter can participate with confidence and dignity. From introducing accessible voting options and assistive technologies, to providing clear information in multiple formats, we’ve worked to remove barriers and create a welcoming, inclusive voter experience for all.
Through our Disability Engagement Advisory (DEA) Committee, we are listening to voices and lived experience knowledge to help shape services that truly meet the needs of every voter. Inclusion isn’t just a goal, it’s a conversation, and we’re committed to learning and improving every step of the way.
On this day, we celebrate progress and pledge to keep building an electoral system where inclusion isn’t an afterthought; it’s the foundation.
